A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Golden Slumbers - A Father's Love will benefit the Golden Dad's project and the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI).

The National Fatherhood Initiative
The NFI’s mission is to improve the well being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible, and committed fathers.

Each year in April the NFI holds it annual Fatherhood Awards Gala in Washington DC. This years event will take place at the Willard InterContinental Hotel Washington on April 19th. The event recognizes not only the achievements of the NFI, but hands out Fatherhood Awards to individuals who exemplify the ideals of involved, responsible, and committed fatherhood. The recipients of the 2004 fatherhood awards were Richard Marx, Carlos Ponce, Bebe Winans, Chris Carter, Jim Abrahams, and S. Truett Cathy.

Golden Dads 2005

This Father's Day Weekend, Rendezvous Entertainment & the National Fatherhood Initiative will hold the third annual Golden Dads Campaign. Golden Dads is a campaign to acknowledge and reward everyday dads from across the country as they interact with their children in zoos, parks, malls, museums, and other public places where families gather.

For 2005, we are aiming to catch 10,000 dads in 20 cities across the country. Check back for details. Golden Dads may be coming to your city!
